On the occasion of the upcoming New Year in late 2018, Cygnus Biosciences (Beijing) Co., Ltd. announced another piece of good news: it was officially awarded the designation of "Academician Expert Workstation" by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology.

The "Academician Expert Workstation" is an important initiative launched by the China Association for Science and Technology to enhance independent innovation capabilities, build an innovative nation, implement the strategy of strengthening the country through talent, promote industry‑university‑research collaboration, and develop an innovative scientific and technological talent team. The establishment of an Academician Expert Workstation leverages the technical guidance of academicians and experts, facilitates the construction of corporate technology innovation systems, improves enterprises' independent innovation capabilities, and fosters the growth of scientific and technological innovation talent within companies.

Leveraging the technology platform of Peking University, Cygnus Bio has not only focused on the R&D and industrialization of next‑generation sequencing (NGS) equipment with fully independent intellectual property rights, but has also consciously built an innovative team and cultivated innovative talent, continuously recruiting highly educated professionals who have become core members of the R&D team. Currently, nearly 60% of the staff at Cygnus Bio's R&D center hold doctoral or master's degrees, and 35% have overseas study experience. The influx of young talent has made Cygnus Bio more vibrant and dynamic.
