Professor Stephen Quake Visits Cygnus Bio

On November 6, 2018, internationally renowned biophysicist and bioengineer Professor Stephen Quake visited Cygnus Biosciences (Beijing) Co., Ltd., accompanied by Professor Yanyi Huang of Peking University.

Professor Stephen Quake is a leading figure in international genomics. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Medicine, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He previously served as the chair of the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University and currently holds the Lee Otterson Professorship in Bioengineering and is a professor of applied physics at Stanford. He also serves as co‑president of the BioHub Research Center, funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

During his visit, Professor Quake toured the R&D laboratories of Cygnus Bio and engaged in discussions with the research staff. He expressed appreciation for the company's exploration and progress in the field of sequencing technology.
