Cygnus Biosciences has expanded the GS200 sequencing platform with PE300 capability, bringing greater flexibility to a broader range of research applications. Powered by LumoSeq sequencing technology, PE300 combines extended read length with high-quality sequencing data to support applications that benefit from additional sequence context.
1. Longer Reads with High-Quality Data
The GS200 now supports paired-end 300 bp sequencing, while maintaining strong base quality performance with more than 80% of bases reaching Q40 or above.
The extended read length provides additional sequence context for repetitive sequences, GC-biased regions, and highly homologous regions, supporting more confident read mapping and variant analysis.
PE300 broadens the capabilities of the GS200 across applications including amplicon sequencing, microbial and metagenomic research, cancer genomics, and genetic disease research.
2、Stable Performance with PE300
PE300 sequencing delivered consistently high-quality data, with average Q30 ≥ 90% and average Q40 ≥ 80%.
For WES, three independent runs showed highly consistent performance. Across all three runs, mapping rates remained above 99.8% and properly paired rates above 97.6%, with consistent SNP and Indel results, demonstrating stable and reproducible PE300 performance on the GS200.
In another three-run evaluation using the ZymoBIOMICS Microbial Community Standard, species-level relative abundance profiles were broadly consistent with expected proportions, demonstrating the stability and reproducibility of PE300 sequencing for microbial community profiling.
